Agge won the second trophy for PSG eSports

November 5th and 6th, Warsaw. August ‘Agge’ Rosenmeier won the Legia eSports Cup, the first football inter-clubs tournament.

This weekend, Legia Warsaw held the very first FIFA 17 tournament that gathered ten teams representing ten top European football clubs (Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco, AFC Ajax, FC Schalke 04, Legia Warszawa, Manchester City FC, Sporting CP, Valencia CF, VfL Wolfsburg, West Ham United FC).

The first part of this tournament was played on Saturday. Despite two losses, our PSG eSports player Agge dominated his opponents and finished first of the group stage with seven wins, that sent him directly through the semi-finals.

The final stage took place on Sunday. August faced Nathan ‘Sneaky’ Nayagom, playing for AS Monaco in semi-finals where a considerable amount of goals popped out. Final score : 7 to 4.

Paris Saint-Germain then encountered FC Schalke 04 in the grand final, represented by Tim ‘Tim Latka’ Schwartmann. Intense matches for both sides, it was hard to impose his own playstyle. Despite a good comeback, August conceded the first match 2-1.

But thanks to his mind of steel, Agge tied the series, winning the second match 1-0. The last match of this best of three ended up on a really close 2-2 taking the players to a fourth game led by the rule of the “Golden Goal”. Just before the twentieth minute Agge played it hit-or-miss with an aggressive move and put the ball through the net, crowning himself as the first champion of the Legia eSports Cup.

PSG eSports, once again wrote history, winning against Schalke 04, another football club.

We are not done facing Schalke 04 yet, as we will meet them again on League of Legends during the European Challenger Series !
