Lucas ‘DaXe’ Cuillerier and Gordon ‘Fiddle’ Thornsberry both qualified for the second FUT Champions Cup where they will compete with the best FIFA 18 players in the world.
Only a few days after the first tournament in Barcelona, the two Parisians immediately hold with an online qualification month for the next FUT Champions Cup. A run of four weekends that is always really tiring according to Lucas ‘DaXe’ Cuillerier : « This was a special month for me because I was close not to be qualified, this could have been the first time I didn’t qualify for a regional event since FIFA 17. Even tho I was not confident at all, I managed to make it through in the end ».
For the American, February has not been an easy ride either : « The standard was set much higher and there was no room for error. I had to treat every single game like I was playing at the event. I’m relieved and proud to be able to represent my country and especially PSG at the next FUT Champions Cup ».
Despite a good start, Rafael ‘Rafifa‘ Fortes, Ahmed ‘Aameghessib‘ Al-Meghessib and Johann ‘Maniika‘ Simon didn’t manage to qualify this month.
The PSG eSports players will do their best to perform better than they did in Barcelona where destiny was not on their side. After they passed the Swiss rounds, Gordon ‘Fiddle’ Thornsberry lost in a breathtaking game against Tassal ‘Tass’ Rushan, one of the favorite players during the tournament. On the other side, the Frenchman Lucas ‘DaXe’ Cuillerier failed in the last sixteen, a hair of the qualification for the Global Series.
The two Paris Saint-Germain eSports players will wear the spikes again in April in order to try and reach the top 8, Xbox One, that is synonym of qualification for the last step before the world finals of the FIFA eWorld Cup. Allez Paris !
