DAXE : ON THE BRINK OF VICTORY

December 21th, Paris. The French FUT Championship Series Qualifier took place at L’Olympia yesterday. The 32 best players in France were there to compete for a slot in FUT Season One Regional Finals.

Yesterday was a stressful day for our FIFA player Lucas ‘DaXe’ Cuillerier as the tournament was played in best of one instead of best of three which is more common in FIFA’s championships. Furthermore the EA FUT servers went down at the wrong time forcing the players to compete in classic mode during the group phase. But DaXe showed his steel mental and won his first three matches.

Arrived in knockout stage the matches became more tensed. Lucas played the quarterfinal against Fouad ‘Rafsou’ Fares and ended it in overtime. Another win for DaXe (3-2) which lead him to the semifinal, where he faced Vincent ‘Vinch’ Hoffmann, playing for FC Nantes

This semifinal match was marked with many ups and downs, as the two competitors multiplied the actions, bringing a lot of tension in the room. Still drawn after the regulation as well as extra time, the match finally got decided by penalty shoot-out. DaXe and Vinch had a hard time to hit the net as they both missed their shots with CR7 but in the end Lucas managed to take the ascend and to beautifully score the winning goal.

For the grand final, Lucas encountered Corentin ‘Rocky’ Chevrey from team Vitality. Hard fight between the two players, who performed it at the same level. It stayed tied until the 85th minute : Rocky got the golden occasion and took advantage of it by putting the ball through the net. For the few remaining minutes, DaXe changed his formation and tactic in aggressive mode, but it was not enough and he finally conceded the game 0-1.

Despite this loss, Lucas Cuillerier stays more than determined to take another major victory. We’ll be back stronger !
